WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME!

Thanks to all of you for your well wishes and your visits to our new space in Coleman Village. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!

We listened to all the suggestions, concerns and complaints expressed by our customers and tried to address them when planning the shop. Your comfort and satisfaction are very important to us.

NEEDLEPOINT NEWS

We have greatly expanded our Needlepoint area with more seating and extra lighting. And we've had the pleasure of hosting several stitching groups at the shop over the last few weeks. We welcome you and your stitching group to join us too.

We also recently received our order of Planet Earth Opal Silk. It's beautiful and we've gotten great feedback about it.

New!  Our Tuesday Stitching class is moving to Mondays! It is still at 10 am with Marci.

TUTU LADIES! By popular demand, we have brought back our Tutu Ladies class.

Always popular and fun to do, the class will be held on Sundays from 2 pm – 4 pm starting October 3rd.

KNITTING FOR CHARITY

Our Charity Knitting Group, headed up by Lou and Greer, has just recently received a rather large stash of yarn donated to the group. They would be happy to have you join them on Tuesday afternoons to knit for charity. (We also have a few folks come to visit and knit socially which is also welcome.)

If you are interested in joining the Charity Knitting Group, please come Tuesdays around 1:30. We guarantee that while you are knitting for others, you will meet some lovely people and enjoy yourself at the same time.

OCTOBER & NOVEMBER CLASSES ARE NOW ONLINE

View the classes online or download our class schedule by clicking here. Stop by the shop or give us a call at (770) 998-3483 with any questions or to register.

New Teachers

We have several new teachers joining us this month, and we are so lucky to have them!

Jessica will be teaching her Custom-Fit Raglan Sweater class in October. Jessica started her career as an interior designer and most recently taught at The Knitting Emporium. Her favorite patterns involve lace and cables, and she is passionate about knitting and fiber arts.

Beth will be teaching a beginners class for us on Saturdays. Beth has been knitting for several years, teaches guitar, and writes a most interesting Blog.

Betty will be teaching an advanced beginners class as well as a beginner class. She has been designing and making knitting needle accessories before moving to our area. I knew her name because I had bought some of her things for the shop through her representatives. I also got a peek at some consignment knitting that she has been doing. Beautiful!

New Classes

Knitting Baby Projects with Brandy
Begins Sunday, November 7 at 1:30 pm
Many of you may be familiar with Pixie Purls, the patterns, as well as Petite Purls, the e-zine. These are the creations of Brandy Fortune. She is the designer for Pixie Purls and the co-editor of Petite Purls and has designs debuting in upcoming publications. Brandy will be teaching a project class in November with us. You can pick any one from her line of baby patterns and, with the help of the Pixie herself, you can knit something for a special baby in time for gift giving or wearing during the holidays.

Custom-Fit Raglan Sweater with Jessica
Begins Thursday, October 7
at 10 am

Choose a yarn you love in any weight and customize it to make it "you"! This can be a pullover, a cardigan or shortsleeve raglan cardigan. Very good looking sweater!  (Shown rt: long-sleeved raglan pullover)

Fearless Socks with Candi
Begins Tuesday, October 5 at 6 pm
I believe Candi loves to knit socks more than anything, and she can crank them out with ease. We have beautiful sock yarn to pick from as well. And as Candi puts it, learn to “make socks without tears!”

Advanced Beginner Crochet 102 Workshop with Lucille
Sunday, October 3 from 1:30 - 3:30
Crochet 102 with Lucille is right around the corner. Her students from 101 all signed up, so call now if you want to get into this one-day class. Learn new techniques, how to read crochet patterns, work increases and decreases, how to change colors and more!

Seamless Sweaters with Mary
Session 1 begins Sunday, October 17 at 1:30 pm
Session 2 begins Sunday, October 24 at 1:30 pm

Pick from the five seamless sweaters that Mary has taught in 2010 plus a new one that she has added to the collection. She just finished it out of Azapa, an Araucanian Yarn. We just got all of the new colors in. (Shown below: Leisl sweater)
